Because my social battery isn’t what it used to be and everyone’s family calendars are booked out for well over a month (or a sports season) at a time. Then, when it is finally time to hang out, inevitably someone’s kid will get sick, there’s a family emergency, something else unexpected comes up, etc etc. Am I right?! Thank goodness for the bestie’s group chat to keep us close.
